The NAMAZU hook series from CAT-TEX has proven to be a huge success with thousands of Wels catfish to over 233lb and 262cm. Very impressed with the new Namazu hooks after buying the whole set when hearing the rave reviews about them.
Extremely strong wire, slightly inturned bend with a beaked point and sticky sharp unlike most brands of cat hooks which seem to be less sharp as they increase in size, not these ones tho, ouch!
The XS are ideal for a single large pellet, 18-22mm boilie, leeches or a popped up snowman.
The S is spot on for a big bunch of hair-rigged worms, a small livebait or a small block rig.
The M would suit a larger block rig, a good sized 6-8oz live bait or chunk of chorizo/luncheon meat & the L Namazu would be ideal for a big livebait, whole squid or fish deadbait either whole or cut into chunks used on a kebab style rig.
Overall very impressed with these hooks and there’s zero flex in them unlike some hooks which can open slightly with a bit of pressure.
These are extremely strong wire with a nice sized but not overly large barb & also there’s a barbless range too.
I’m totally convinced they’ll handle any cat that swims in the UK as the larger sizes have coped with the giants that swim in the big European rivers & used multiple times without the point burring over or the hook bending out of shape.
Really looking forward to using them in the spring.

since using these hooks not had one lost fish , stay sharp even after a few fish , there mega strong have used most brands out there and these are miles ahead of the game
